Wilma J. Eash, 87, of Shipshewana, died at 7:28 am, on Friday, October 19 at
her residence. She was born on December 8, 1930, in Nappanee, to Joseph T.
and Ida (Miller) Slabaugh. On November 26, 1970 in Nappanee she married
Cornelius J. Eash; he died January 11, 2011. Surviving are four
step-daughters, Rosanna (Andrew Jr.) Yoder of Shipshewana, Wilma (Dave)
Anderson of Nappanee, Naomi (Ervin) Raber, Christina (Lonnie) Miller all of
Shipshewana; four step-sons, Melvin (Laura) Eash of LaGrange, Marion
(Susan) Eash of Nappanee, Sylvan (Connie) Eash of Goshen, Allen (Cindy)
Eash of Middlebury; 33 step-grandchildren, 64 step-great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Tobias (Elizabeth) Slabaugh, Chris (Alma) Slabaugh both of
Nappanee, Lester (Ann) Slabaugh of Sarasota, FL; three sisters, Sylvia Miller
of Dunnegan, MO, Edna (John) Schwartz of Nappanee, Ida Miller of
LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents;
step-mother, Lillie (Troyer) Slabaugh; step-daughter, Pauline Eash; three
step-grandsons, Andrew and Austin Raber and Benjamin Eash. She was a
homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be
after 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, and all day Monday, October 22, at the
Lonnie Miller residence, 2030 N. 500 W., Shipshewana. Funeral services will
be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, October 23, at the Ferman Miller residence 2230 N.
500 W., Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Lyle Beechy
and the home ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery,
Shipshewana. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses
at Country Meadows at Miller's Merry Manor.
