William "Bill" R. Miller
William "Bill" R. Miller, 78, of Middlebury, died at 3:20 pm on Thursday, March
26, at his winter residence in Sarasota, FL. He was born on May 25, 1936 in
Goshen to Robert W. and Lizzie (Hershberger) Miller. On December 11, 1958
he married Marie Arlene Helmuth, she survives. Survivors in addition to his
wife are three sons, Willis (Cheryl) Miller of Milford, Raymond (Lydia Ann)
Miller of Middlebury, Arlin (Norma) Miller of Middlebury; five daughters, Arlene
(LaVern) Kuhns of Goshen, Norma (Atlee) Troyer, Carolyn (Vernon) Miller,
Edna Ellen Miller, Nancy (Reuben) Kramer all of Middlebury; two brothers,
John (Ada) Miller of Shipshewana, Amos (Polly Ann) Miller of Goshen; four
sisters, Edna Miller and Lydia Ann Miller of Goshen, Katie Bontrager of
Middlebury, Wilma (LeRoy) Yoder of Eldorado, MO; 30 grandchildren, 8 great
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Ida
Miller, four brothers, Freeman, Levi, and Enos Miller, and an infant brother. He
was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He lived his entire life in
Elkhart County working as a repair man. He spent the last 20 years wintering
in Pinecraft, FL, where he owned and operated a bike rental and repair shop.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 29 and all day Monday,
March 30 at the Atlee Troyer residence, 10582 CR 24, Middlebury. Funeral
services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, March 31at the family residence,
10622 CR 24, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by the home ministers.
Burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Middlebury.
