William J. Yoder
                                          May 30, 1934 -- November 27, 2014

William J.  Yoder, 80, of LaGrange, died peacefully at 2:40 pm on Thursday,
November 27, at his residence. He was born on May 30, 1934 in LaGrange County to
Jerry J. and Mary (Mast) Yoder. On December 13, 1956 in Shipshewana he married
Amanda Bontrager, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are six
daughters, Ida Carolyn (Edwin) Miller of Mora, MN, Mary Etta (Elmer) Yoder of
Holland, MI, Esther (Dennis) Yoder of LaGrange, Elsie (John) Yoder of
Shipshewana, LaVera (Ezra) Schrock of P
ortage, WI, Clara Mae (Vernon)
Hershberger of Syracuse; three sons, Orva (Sara Mae) Yoder of LaGrange, Wilbur
(Esther) Yoder of Middlebury, Clarence (Nettie) Yoder of Shipshewana; 77
grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren; four brothers, David (Jan) Yoder of
Middlebury, Jerry (Edna) Yoder, Jr. of LaGrange, Lloyd (Katie) Yoder of Millersburg,
Wilbur (Wilma) Yoder of Shipshewana; three sisters-in-law, Katie Yoder and Mary
Katherine Lambright both of Shipshewana and Helen Yoder of Middlebury; brother-
in-law, Elmer C. Miller of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his parents, two
grandchildren, one great grandchild, three brothers, Harley, Melvin and John
Yoder, and one sister, Ida Miller. He was a retired farmer and member of the Old
Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Friday, November 28, and all
day Saturday, November 29, at the family’s residence, 3385 West 100 North,
LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, November 30,
also at the
family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Wilbur Bontrager and the
home ministers. Burial will be in Mast Cemetery, LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral
Home is in charge of the arrangements.
