William A. Miller
                                  December 13, 1912 -- August 14, 2013

William A. Miller, 100, of Topeka, died at 1:45 am, on Wednesday, August 14, at his
residence. He was born on December 13, 1912, in Reno County, KS, to Andy and
Gertie (Miller) Miller. On November 24, 1932 he married Mary Schrock, she died
July 17, 1999. Surviving are eight sons, Eli (Katie) Miller of Nappanee, Ora (Cathryn)
Miller of Millersburg, Enos (Vera) Miller of Haven, KS, William (Edna) Miller of
Topeka, Harry (Katie) Miller of Millersburg, Calvin (Katie) Miller and David (Esther)
Miller both of Topeka, Eldon (Esther) Miller of Ligonier; five daughters, Sara (Louie)
Beachey of Topeka, Gertie (Fred) Yoder of Hutchinson, KS, Wilma (Samuel)
Bontrager of Wolcottville, Mary Detweiler of Shipshewana, Martha (Ernie)
Bontrager of Topeka; 80 grandchildren, 371 great grandchildren, 79 great
great-grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, 34 step great grandchildren; a
brother, Andy Miller, Jr. of Leon, IA; two  sisters-in-law, Lizzie Miller of Ligonier,
Edna Miller of Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son,
Andy Miller, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step grandchild,
one step great grandchild, son-in-law, Dan  Detweiler, two sisters, Polly Bontrager,
Elizabeth Fry, three brothers, Sam, Mose and Ervin Miller. He was a farmer and a
member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday
August 15, and all day Friday August 16, at the family residence, 5645 W. 800 S.
Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday August 17, also at the family
residence.  Services will be conducted by Bishop David Miller and the home
ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral
Home, Middlebury, is handling arrangements.
