Wayne M. Miller
                               November 14, 1927 - October 27, 2015

Wayne M. Miller, 87, of Shipshewana, Indiana, went to be with his Lord shortly
after 8:00 am on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, after living with the effects of
kidney disease and long-term diabetes.

He was born on November 14, 1927, in Topeka, Indiana, to Samuel S. and
Rachel M. Miller. On July 17, 1954 in Inman, Kansas, he married Leabell S.
Troyer, who preceded him in death on January 15, 2014.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Dennis) Troyer of Shipshewana,
Indiana, Becky (Jim Maves) Manning of Grayling, Michigan; four sons, Kevin
(Rebecca Stoltzfus) Miller of Ithaca, New York, Jonathan (Christian Yoder)
Miller of Washington, DC, Jeff (Kay Nofziger) Miller of Goshen, Indiana, Eric
(Melody) Short-Miller of Bellingham, Washington; 12 grandchildren, one great-
granddaughter; four sisters, Wilma Jean “Jeannie” Schrock of Shipshewana,
Indiana,  Willowdean Schleining of Goshen, Indiana,  Winifred Lehman of
Slave Lake, Alberta, and Karon Weaver of Goshen, Indiana. He was preceded
in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Koelzer.

Initially trained as an x-ray technician at La Junta (Colorado) Mennonite
Hospital, he later received certification from Columbia University, and served
as administrator of Conejos County Hospital in La Jara, Colorado, for 21
years. Toward the end of his career he served as administrator at Ausable
Valley Home in Fairview, Michigan. He was an active member of Gideons
International for 45 years.

He was a member of Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana, where
visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
followed by a memorial service celebrating his life at 4:00 p.m. the same day.
Memorials may be given to Gideons International or Mennonite Mission

Wayne was one of the most considerate and kindly men I have known.  He
was blessed with a wonderful intelligence and he, in turn, blessed others with
wisdom, consideration and a Christ-like demeanor.
