January 16, 1943 -- November 2, 2019

Warren D. Nordman, 76, of Elkhart, died unexpectedly at 2:25 am on
Saturday, November 2, at Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart, after a
short battle with stage IV colon cancer. He was born on January 16,
1943 in South Bend, to Edward and Hilda (Odiorne) Nordman. On
June 2, 1990 in Middlebury he married Viola Burns; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife of Elkhart are five sons, David
(Wendy) Nordman of Bristol, Anthony (Liz Shirk) Nordman of
Centerville, MI, Kurtis (Shaina) Burns of Elkhart, Michael (Diana  
Wood) Nordman of Shipshewana, Steven Nordman of Topeka; 19
grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dean (Helen)
Nordman of Louisville, KY, James Nordman of South Haven, MI;
sister, Leila (Ron) Johnson of Paw Paw, MI. He was preceded in death
by his parents. Warren was a truck driver for 50 years and retired in
2018. His CB handle was #1. When he was not driving he loved to fish,
play euchre and watch Notre Dame football and Chicago White Sox
baseball. He enjoyed listening to music while he traveled. Visitation
will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 7 at Miller-Stewart
Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. There will not be
any services following visitation. The family will hold private
graveside services at a later date in Grace Lawn Cemetery,
Middlebury. Memorials may be given to the funeral home to assist the
family with expenses.

I did not know this man but I respect his career of driving, I am a  
driver myself. I pray for some comfort and strength for the family to
get through this sad occasion.
