The Gingerich family has lost a great patriarch.  I have wonderful memories
of  spending time with your family and enjoyed having dinner and great
conversation with some of you in recent months, including Verton.  As you
mourn this loss, may you rejoice in knowing that he has attained The Great
Prize, and that his spirit continues to be with you!  Know that you are all in
my  thoughts and prayers.

Many fond memories flooded our minds when we learned of Verton's
passing--- memories of your family visiting in Iowa and memories of a happy,
contented uncle who loved the Lord Jesus.  Your family's close ties to ours
has been such a blessing through the years.  Verton and Lydia were the best
of friends with our parents and are enjoying each other's company even
now.  Be assured of our love and prayers.
