November 13, 1949 -- March 18, 2015

Susie E. Gingerich, 65, of LaGrange, died at 12:55 am on Wednesday, March 18 at her
residence. She was born on November 13, 1949 in Lagrange, to William J. and Lovina
(Helmuth) Yoder. On February 29, 1968 in LaGrange County she married John E.
Gingerich, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are two daughters, Velma
(Lester) Bontrager of Mio, MI and Vera Gingerich of Goshen; six sons, Allen Gingerich
of Middlebury, Paul (Dora) Gingerich of Larwill, IN, John (Susan) Gingerich Jr. of
Holmesville, OH, James (Mable) Gingerich of LaGrange, Henry (Emily) Gingerich of
Bringhurst, IN, and Phillip (Lisa) Gingerich of Sturgeon, MO; 20 grandchildren; four
sisters, Ida Mae (Ervin J.) Mast of Bloomfield, IA, Lou Ella (Perry) Bontrager of
Shipshewana, Ruby (Marion) Shrock of LaGrange, and Katherine (Kenneth)
Hochstetler of Topeka; seven brothers, Wilbur (Amanda) Yoder of LaGrange, Richard
(Betty) Yoder of Topeka, Melvin (Polly) Yoder of LaGrange, Orla (Carolyn) Yoder and
Harley (Mary Alice) Yoder both of Topeka, Henry (Carolyn) Yoder of Shipshewana, and
Floyd (Dorothy) Yoder of Lagrange. She was preceded in death by her parents and an
infant brother, Ernest Yoder. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order
Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 19 and all day
Friday, March 20 at the Larry Yoder residence, 4370 W. 200 N., LaGrange. Funeral
services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 21, also at the Larry Yoder residence.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Harry Wayne Miller and the home ministers.
Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
