Sherman M. Shrock
                               June 27, 1920 ~ September 26, 2015

Sherman M. Shrock, 95, of Topeka, died at 3:45 pm on Saturday,
September 26, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on
June 27, 1920 in Defiance, OH, to Moses B. and Amanda (Miller)
Shrock. On October 28, 1944 in Townline Mennonite Church he
married Louise Steury, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife
are three daughters, Joanne (Mervin) Mast of Topeka, Jeanne (Glen)
Riegsecker of Goshen, Karen (Galen) Miller of Topeka; eight
grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Miller of
Middlebury, Martha Lengacher of Hicksville, OH. He was preceded in
death by his parents, two sisters, Della Miller and Elizabeth Beachy
and two brothers, Owen and Moses Shrock, Jr. Sherman had a great
passion for the church and being involved in The Lord’s work. He
was a very active member of the Townline Mennonite Church and
served as sexton for many years of the Townline Cemetery. As a
young man he served in CPS and then began farming. He was the
owner/operater of an excavating business for 22 years and then
Sherman’s Department store in Topeka. He and his wife wintered in
Sarasota Florida for 37 years. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm on
Wednesday September 30, at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S.
1000 W. Shipshewana. There will also be one hour of visitation prior
to the 10:00 am funeral service on Thursday, October 1, also at the
church. Services will be conducted by his nephew, Pastor Paul
Beachy. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Memorials may be given to GNS/USA, for Bible distribution in Eastern
