July 17, 1943 ~ February 12, 2018

Ronald R. Peters, 74, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully at his home
surrounded by his family at 8:29 pm on Monday, February 12. He was born
on July 17, 1943 in Raleigh County, WV, to James and Sarah (Petry) Peters.  
On March 21, 1970 in Elyria, OH he married Merna Van Diviner; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter, Debbie (Ruben) Montanez of
Goshen; three sons, Ron (Tina) Peters of Winfield, WV, John (Amy) Peters of
Fort Wayne, David (Joetta) Peters of Marmet, WV; 10 grandchildren, two great
grandchildren; brother, Robert (Debbie) Peters of Belle, WV. He was
preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Michaela Faith Peters; four
brothers, Thomas, Dewitt, James and Clarence Peters. Ron was a member
and an elder at River of Life Fellowship. He was a minister of the Gospel for
40 years, a coal mine worker, a taxi driver for 11 years and worked at
Syndicate in Middlebury for 3 1/2 years. He served in the Marine Corps during
the Vietnam War from 1960-1964. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on
Thursday, February 15 at River of Life Fellowship Church, 11162 St. Rd 120
Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 16, also
at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastors Gordon Henke, Rick
Lambright, and Mitch Mast. Memorials may be given to United Cancer
Services of Elkhart County.

There are no proper words and expressions to express the sorrow that I have
in my heart to lose such a dearest uncle. He was a person full of positivity
and great inspirations There is no replacement for a person like him. At this
time, all that I can do is pray for his peaceful soul.

Means, I dont know if you remember us we left so long ago.  We are the
Vollmanns with the 7 girls and one boy. I am so sorry to hear of Ron passing,
he blessed me so many times as he ran the aisles!! Im sure hes running
now!!! Im sorry for your loss and your in my prayers!!! Love Tami
