September 15, 1935 -- September 3, 2016
Richard Dean Lambright, 80, of Goshen, died at 8:47 pm on Saturday,
September 3, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen. He had been
suffering from congestive heart failure. He was born on September 15,
1935 in LaGrange to Cleo and Orpha (Hostetler) Lambright. On May 3,
1959 in Shipshewana, he married Ruth Dillon, she survives. Survivors in
addition to his wife are four daughters, Pam (Jim) Krall of Siloam
Springs, AR, Lori (Joe) Walter of Goshen, Jodi (Tony) Mynhier of
Middlebury, Crystal (Todd) Page of Auburn; ten grandchildren, a great
granddaughter; two sisters, Janet (Dale) Kanagy of Prescott, AZ, Wanda
(Martin) Brotherton of Denver, CO; two brothers, his twin, Robert
(Shirley) Lambright of Shipshewana, Vernon (Beth) Lambright of Laotto.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eloise Sommers;
brother, James Lambright. Richard was the owner/operator of
Lambright’s Inc. (Lambright Hatchery), LaGrange for over 50 years. He
was an avid White Sox fan and had served for the MCC Pax program in
Greece from 1955-1958. He loved spending time with his family and was
very active in church, serving as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School
Teacher, Usher and Youth Leader. He was a member of First Baptist
Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday September 6,
at First Baptist Church-Elkhart, 53953 CR 17, Bristol. Funeral services
will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, also at the church.
Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given
to First Baptist Church for mission projects.

My condolences to the family. Richard and Robert aided the poor in
Pittsburgh, PA in 1964-65 when I hauled eggs and brought back
recycled egg cases collected by a street guy. I was so impressed at the
good they did for this guy.

Ruth and family, I'm sure I am the last person you would expect to hear
from. Jack keeps up with the Sturgis Journal and passed the news
about Dick to me. I am so sorry to hear this, time passes so quickly.
Heaven gets sweeter every day and I look forward to seeing so many
that were important to me. I think of your family often and how old Jody
(our flower girl) would be now. Butch and I have been married 45 yrs
now and live in Miami. I know God will give you special comfort at this
