Reuben Miller, Jr., 68, of Middlebury, died at 10:50 am on Monday, May
7, at Elkhart General Hospital from complications of pneumonia. He
was born on July 25, 1949 in Plain City, OH, to Reuben D. and Verba
(Kauffman) Miller. On May 8, 1969 in LaGrange County he married
Delila Wickey, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are four
daughters, Marsha Quilty of Middlebury, Clara (Greg Downs)
Sanderson of San Tan Valley, AZ, Patricia (Dwight Bontrager) Miller of
Wakarusa, Crystal (Justin) Musall of Honolulu, HI; son, Toby & Jacyln
Miller of Carmel; four grandchildren, Ethan Miller, Haley Miller,
Elizabeth Miller, Donald Musall; sister, Mary Bontrager of Mio, MI;
three brothers, Mose & Katie Miller of Shipshewana, Vernon & Elsie
Miller of Homer, MI, Melvin Miller of Shipshewana.  He was preceded  
in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Harley Miller and a
daughter Lois Miller. Reuben was an over the road truck driver for
over 40 years, putting over 2 million miles on his Peterbilt semi; in his
retirement he did taxi work for the Amish community. He was a
member of the Jefferson Community Church where he and his wife
were active in the Cross Bearers Sunday School Class. Reuben
enjoyed watching IU basketball and loved to eat Mexican food from
Phoenix when he had the opportunity. He was a proud conservative
and faithfully listened to the Rush Limbaugh Show and enjoyed the
engaging political conversation that took place at the Hilltop
Restaurant. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, May 11, at
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury.
There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:00 am funeral
service on Saturday, May 12, all at Jefferson Community Church,
Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor Ken Hunn. Burial will
be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to
the building fund of Jefferson Community Church.

memories of spending time with Toby at your house when your
