Orpha Marie Weirich


Orpha Marie Weirich, 91, of Middlebury, died at 3:45 am on Tuesday, August
12, at her son’s residence, after being in declining health for the last number
of years. She was born on May 3, 1923, in Elkhart County, to Reuben and
Lizzie (Hershberger) Miller. On October 28, 1948 in Middlebury, she married
Harry D. Weirich, he died February 22, 2012. Surviving are two sons, Marvin
(Sharon) Weirich and Darrel Weirich both of Middlebury; two grandsons,
Caleb (Sheryl) Weirich and Joel (Stephanie) Weirich; four great
granddaughters; a brother-in-law, Edwin Miller of Hutchinson, KS. She was
preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Nellie Miller and Mary
LuDean Pelfrey and an infant brother. She was a charter member of
Woodlawn Mennonite Church and a homemaker who enjoyed helping her
husband on the family farm. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00
pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 14, at Woodlawn Mennonite Church, 62861
CR 41 Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 15,
also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Woodlawn Ministry
Team. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be given to World
