Nancy Lee Miller
November 4, 1938 -- August 14, 2016
Nancy Lee Miller, 77, of Middlebury, Passed away at 9:45 am on Sunday,
August 14, at her residence after a short battle with cancer. She was born in
Goshen, to John and Lucille (Kinzer) Stingle. She graduated from Jefferson
high school class of 1956. On July 6, 1973, in Goshen, she married Lowell D.
Miller, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are two daughters,
Kathleen (Miller) Bowlby of Mishawaka, Kim (Marinus) Storm of Jacksonville,
FL; two sons, Steven (Kristi) Miller of Goshen and Douglas (Barbara) Warner
of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three
sisters, Betsy Moore, Linda (Ernest) Lehman and Kathy Miller all of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Patsy and two brothers,
Ronnie and Freddie. Nancy attended Clinton Frame Church. She had been a
clerk at Smucker’s Drug Store for 30 years before retiring. She was a member
of the Elkhart County 4H Fair Board for 15 years and was a Junior Miss Mom
for 10 years. She was a big supporter for the music and athletic departments
of Northridge High School. She was a member of the Middlebury summer
Festival committee for many years. Nancy and Lowell were recipients of the
2015 Book of Golden Deeds Award of the Crystal Valley Exchange Club and
past Grand Marshals of the Middlebury Summer Festival Parade. She
volunteered with Pack a Back Pack at the Boy's and Girl's Club. She also
volunteered time and food for school’s athletic teams, watermelon for the
football teams and helped with selling sectional tickets for the basketball
teams at Northridge High School. A celebration of her life for family and
friends will be held on Saturday, September 17, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at the
Greencroft Senior Center, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to Northridge
High School’s Athletic or Music Department. The family would like to thank
everyone who sent cards, prepared food and spent time with Nancy. It was
greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Nancy was a very vibrant lady. Full of love, laughter, caring, and a beautiful
friend inside and out. Her smile and friendliness will never be forgotten. Our

My prayers are with Nancy Millers family at this time of her death. Nancy has
been my friend for years and she will be forever missed. I'm sorry that I
won't be here in the area on Sept. 17 but just know I will be with the family in

Nancy was a truly good person and so much fun! Many, many good
memories...working together at Smuckers, shopping trips to Fort Wayne, and
athletic events at Northridge. Love to Lowell and family. She will so missed.

Even though it has been many years since I have seen her, I always loved
