Nancy Louise Lankerd
                                   March 3, 1947 -- April 15, 2015

Nancy Louise Lankerd, 68, of Middlebury, died at 12:15 am on
Wednesday, April 15, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen after a
courageous journey with cancer and the complications that followed.  
She was born on March 3, 1947 in Goshen to Marion and Alice
(Anderson) Sherck. On November 22, 2002 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
she married John Lankerd, he survives. Survivors in addition to her
husband are daughter, Laura (Greg) Friesner O'Daniel of Fort Wayne;
son, Chad (Brook) Friesner of Middlebury; two step-sons, Eric (Liz)
Lankerd of Muskegon, MI, Todd (Rachel) Lankerd of Cincinnati, OH;
her grandchildren, David, Allison, and Thomas O'Daniel, Abby and
Matthew Friesner, and Jamie, Julia, Michael, and Joshua Lankerd;
sister, Mary Jo (Jerry) Troyer of San Marcos, CA.  She was preceded
in death by her parents. Nancy worked as a Radiation Technician as
her first career;  she then later worked as the manager in the
Consumer Health Care Division at Miles Laboratories later being
bought out by Bayer Corporation. She was in charge of the company’
s service to all of the North America Walmart Stores. She was a great
woman of faith and was very involved in the First Impressions team at
Granger Community Church in Mishawaka. While living in Middlebury,
she attended both Pathway and Waypoint Churches and she was an
avid Notre Dame fan. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:
00 pm on Saturday, April 18, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home,
Middlebury. There will also be two hours of visitation prior to the 2:00
pm funeral service on Sunday, April 19, also at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Scott Miller. Burial will be in
Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. In Lieu of flowers memorials may
be given to the Middlebury Food Pantry.  Online condolences may be

So very sorry..Nancy was and will always be a spectacular woman for

Nancy was a such a blessing when we first moved to the South Bend
area 18+ years ago.  Nancy was a beautiful woman, both on the inside
