Monroe Hochstetler, Jr.
                                         June 16, 1935 -- May 6, 2016

Monroe Hochstetler, 80, of Middlebury, died at 8:30 am on Friday, May 6, at
his residence. He was born on June 16, 1935 in Nappanee, to Monroe and
Elva (Miller) Hochstetler. On May 5, 1960 in Topeka, he married Rosa
Lambright; she died June 27, 2005. On September 4, 2008 in Shipshewana he
married Alta Mullett; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a
daughter, Ruth Ann Bontrager of Elkhart; two granddaughters, Mary (T.J.)
Miller of Middlebury, Malinda Bontrager of Indianapolis; two
great-grandchildren, Trentin Miller and Skarlette Miller; three brothers, Earl
Hochstetler of Nappanee, Omer (Annette) Hochstetler of Dayton, VA, Herman
(Judith) Hochstetler of Hillsboro, WI. He was preceded in death by his first
wife, parents, sister, Arlene Gingerich, three brothers, Marlin, Glen, and
Vernon Hochstetler, He had worked at different area factories and was a
member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on
Saturday May 7, and all day Sunday, May 8, at the Leon Wingard residence,
11692 CR 18, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, May
9, also at the Leon Wingard residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop
Melvin Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery,
