Maynard Jay King, 39, of Goshen, died unexpectedly at 9:54 am on Wednesday,
November 25, 2015 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1976
in Elkhart County to Melvin B. and Wilma (Mast) King. On May 13, 2005 in
Marshall County he married Janice Hochstedler, she survives. Survivors in
addition to his wife are his parents-in-law, Ervin (Ida Mae) Hochstedler of
Bourbon; two sisters, Dora Ann (Verlin) Schrock, Freda (Nelson) Mullet both of
Middlebury; five brothers, Marlin (Carla) King, Larry (Carolyn) King both of
Middlebury, Gerald (Rose Mary) King of Topeka, Lamar (Linda) King of
Shipshewana, Ivan (Amy) King of Middlebury; four brothers-in-law; nine
sisters-in-law; 14 nieces and 15 nephews. He was preceded in death by his
parents; four nieces and two nephews. He had been working at Veada
Industries, New Paris and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 26 and all day Friday,
November 27 at the Andrew Borkholder residence, 16769 CR 36 Goshen.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 28 at the same
residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop LaVerne J. Lehman and the
home ministers. Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Middlebury. Miller-Stewart
Funeral Home, Middlebury is assisting the family with arrangements.
