Mary E. Morgan
                   December 30, 1938 -- July 17, 2017

Mary Eleanor Morgan, 78, of Middlebury, died at 8:00 am on Monday, July 17
in Elkhart.  She was born on December 30, 1938 in Elmhurst, IL, to Norton
and Eleanor (Maronen) Whitlock. On November 5, 1960 in Dunlap she married
Gilbert A. Morgan, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are
grandson, Zachery Burgess of Elkhart; two sisters, Linda Akright of Sodus,
MI, Noreen (Dan) Penny of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her
parents; son, Patrick Brian Morgan; step-mother, Minnie Whitlock; sister,
Marjorie Brown. She worked 12 years at CTS and 17 years at ADEC, where
she retired in 2004. She graduated in 1988 from SW Michigan College with an
Associate’s Degree. Mary was a Master Gardener, having served as the
president of the Middlebury Garden Club and on the Michiana Master
Gardener Board of Directors. She earned her Gold 1000 Badge in the Purdue
Master Gardener Program for volunteering 1000 hours. She was an awesome
volunteer with unbelievable energy. Mary was the secretary of the Michiana
Dairy Goats Breeders Association and a member of Delta Theta Chi. Her
hobbies included breeding goats for kids to show at county 4-H fairs.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm followed by a funeral service at       
3:00 pm on Friday, July 21 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main
Street Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Larry Troyer. In lieu
of flowers, contributions made be made to the Middlebury Garden Club.
