My sincerest condolences for such a wonderful family who surrounded a
wonderful man.  Mark will surely be missed at FMC.  It was with great
pleasure that I got to meet and work with him.  Mark talked often and fondly
of his family, even showing us a calendar he had recently made that
showcased his life with his family in pictures for each of the months.
May you all be blessed to celebrate Mark's life.

A great example as a son, husband, father and

Mark was there for me when my sister Regina Yoder died at Dialysis on
Mishawaka Road in 1996.  He has always been the friend in the crowd and
cared about the details in my life.  He was there for Bev when her mother
was dying and he showed so much compassion and love for her.  Thank
you Bev for sharing him with the community, his death is such a shock.
We all pray that God walks with you and gives you strength as you face
these days without his smiling sunny face.

I am so very sorry.  Was there ever a nicer kinder man than Mark Short?
Was there a better man that could solve problems and calmly sift through
nonsense like Mark Short?  I think not.  Mark made the place we were at a
better place, and we will all miss his leadership and friendship.

Never was there a man more devoted to his family. Generous does not
begin to describe him. Full of laughter, always encouraging his kids,
supporting all their dreams, serving God, helping others, and always
happy. We are so blessed to have known Mark! One of a kind man who will
be missed by all who knew him.
Love, prayers, and hugs to Bev & family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this most difficult time. I had
the pleasure of working with Mark at the Blackthorn Unit at FMC. He will be
missed!!! Was a great guy and awesome mentor to many. He spoke often
about how proud he was of his wife and children, and how he enjoyed his
grand kids.  I wish Marks family peace for knowing what a good person he
was.
