Mark J. Bontrager
                            September 1, 1930 ~ November 3, 2017

Mark J.  Bontrager, 87, of Shipshewana, died at 1:17 pm on Friday,  at the
Goshen Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1930 in Shipshewana, to
Earley Clay and Delcie (Mishler) Bontrager. On September 27, 1953 in Shore
Mennonite Church he married Clara  Mishler; she survives. Survivors in
addition to his wife are daughter, Diane (Todd) Woodworth of Goshen; son,
John Mark Bontrager of Shipshewana; three grandchildren, Jesse Bontrager
(fiancée, Ariane Bergen) Woodworth of Denver, CO, Luke (Brittany) Bontrager
Woodworth and Clara Elizabeth Bontrager Woodworth both of Goshen. He
was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hilda Haarer and Glenola
Leinbach; and a brother, Marion Bontrager. Mark was a farmer, livestock
hauler and a bus driver. He was a member of Shore Mennonite Church,
where he served as a song leader. He was also a member of the Crusaders
Quartet and served on the REMC Board for 49 years. Visitation will be from
2:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, November 6 and one hour prior to the funeral
service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 7 at Shore Mennonite Church,
7235 W 100 N Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Pastor Carl
Horner. Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be given to the Shipshewana Ministerial

Sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He's always been one of my favorite bus
drivers I've worked with. I'm sure he's singing away at the feet of Jesus.
