Margaret K. Balyeat
                               December 13, 1921 -- February 6, 2015

Margaret K. Balyeat, 93, of Goshen, died at 11:45 pm, on Friday, February 6, at
her daughter’s residence in Middlebury. She was born on December 13, 1921,
in Goshen, to Paul and Ruby (Smoker) Unzicker. On September 10, 1949 in
Goshen she married Byron "Buck" Balyeat; he died April 16, 2010. Surviving
are two daughters, Susan (Terry) Coddens of Middlebury, Barbara (Steve)
Fishman of Naples, FL; three grandchildren, Jessica Samuels, Andrea
Fishman and Brian Coddens; a great-granddaughter, Audrey Samuels; and a
sister, Joanne Sheline-Pendland of Goshen. She was preceded in death by
her husband, parents and sister, Mary Louise Snyder. Margaret was a
member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Middlebury and currently attending
River Oaks Community Church with her daughter. She loved spending time
with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was owner/operator with
her husband of Balyeat's Greenhouse and enjoyed traveling and wintered in
Nokomis, FL for over 20 years. She was a bookkeeper and worked at Home
Lumber Company for several years and later at Syndicate Glass in
Middlebury. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday February
10, with a funeral service following at 1:30 pm at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home,
1003 South Main Street Middlebury. The service will be conducted by Pastor
Randy Schroeder. Immediately following the service the family will hold a
private graveside service at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. During that
time everyone is invited to gather at the Essenhaus for a luncheon.
Memorials may be given to IU Health Goshen Hospice and Homecare or St.
Paul's Lutheran Church.
