Mahlon D. Brindley
                                  August 18, 1928 -- February 21, 2016

Mahlon D. Brindley, 87, of Bristol, died of natural causes at 5:30 pm on
Sunday, February 21, at Your Home Assisted Living, South Bend. He was
born on August 18, 1928 in Porter Township, MI, to Ralph and Velma
(Garberick) Brindley. He had lived all of his life in Bristol. On September 2,
1949 in Bristol he was married to Mary “Flo” Bills; she survives. They had
been married 66 years.  Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mary
(Alan) Niehaus of Miramar Beach, FL; three sons, Dale (Patricia) Brindley of
Granger, Ric (Vickie) Brindley of Bristol, Glenn Brindley of Santa Rosa
Beach, FL; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and
nephews; two sisters, Phyllis Krogh of Sturgis, MI, Marilyn Stearley of
Henderson, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother,
Lamar Brindley. Mahlon enjoyed spending time with family, carpentry,
fishing, gardening and traveling with his wife. He was one of the first
coaches of Little League in Bristol. He had worked for Skyline Industries in
Bristol for over 40 years, primarily as a cabinet maker. Visitation will be from
5:00 - 7:30 pm on Friday February 26, with a simple celebration of life service
at 7:30 pm at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street
Middlebury. Family and friends may gather for an 11:00 am graveside service
on Saturday February 27 in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bristol. Memorials may be
given to Center for Hospice Care or IU Health Goshen Cancer Center.

Rick, I'm sorry to hear of your father's death. I enjoyed getting to know him
