Mac McClain
                                   November 21, 1936 -- April 13, 2015

Mac McClain, 78, of Shipshewana, died at 6:28 pm on Monday, April 13, at his
residence. His death was unexpected even though he had been in declining
health.  He was born on November 21, 1936 in Plymouth, IL, to Arthur and
Lena (Lauderback) McClain. On September 25, 1998 in Louisville, KY he
married Mary Bontrager; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are
two daughters, LaDonna and Wendy; a son, Brad; two step daughters,
Tonya and Sherri; a step son, Michael; eight grandchildren, seven great
grandchildren, seven step grandchildren; a brother, Dee. He was preceded in
death by his parents. Mac was a member of the Assembly of God. He was an
artist enjoying oil painting, a NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting NASCAR
memorabilia. He had been manager in different restaurants, spent 18 years
working at the Shipshewana Flea Market selling oil paintings and in
retirement he drove taxi for the Amish for six years. Visitation will be from
4:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday April 15, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003
South Main Street Middlebury. Family and friends may gather at 9:30 am on
Thursday April 16, at Bontrager Cemetery, on CR 100 S. one half mile west of
CR 1000 W.  Middlebury.  Memorials may be given to Miller-Stewart Funeral
Home to assist the family with expenses.

Dear Mary,
Thoughts and Prayers are with you and the family. Mac was a good hearted
guy and i loved his laugh, He always was a kidder and i will always remember
the healthy Mac. Even tho he had health issues its always hard to say
goodbye. I can see Mac smiling down on us! Love you Mary!
