August 18, 1921 -- May 25, 2015

Lovina E. Whetstone, 93, of Middlebury, died at 12:45 pm, on Monday, May
25 at her great niece’s residence in Middlebury. She was born on August
18, 1921, in St. Joseph County, MI, to Eli A. and Lizzie (Yoder) Bontrager. On
August 20, 1963 in LaGrange County she married Samuel S. Whetstone, he
died December 19, 2008. Surviving are three sisters, Edna Farmwald, Wilma
Miller, and Lizzie (Lewis) Hochstetler all of Shipshewana; brother, Alton
(Arlene) Bontrager of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her
husband, parents, two sisters, Fannie Miller and Anna Mae Bontrager, three
brothers, Homer, Levi, and Harley Bontrager. She was a homemaker and a
member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 3:00 pm on
Wednesday, May 27 and all day Thursday, May 28 at the Harley Beechy
residence, 0155 S. 1000 West, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30
am on Friday, May 29 also at the Harley Beechy residence. Services will be
conducted by Bishop Mervin Schrock and the home ministers. Burial will
be in Bontrager Cemetery, Middlebury. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home,
Middlebury, is handling arrangements.
