March 21, 1939 -- October 24, 2020

Lorene E. Wine, 81, of Goshen passed away at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October
24, at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on March 21, 1939
in Goshen to Monroe and Mattie (Miller) Nisley. On September 5, 1959 in
Millersburg she married Philip Wine; he passed away June 5, 2015. Surviving
are daughter, Brenda (Jon) LaRue of Goshen; three sons, Tom Wine of
Broadway, VA, Dale Wine of Holland, MI, Joe (Lisa) Wine of South Bend; nine
grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband; parents; three brothers, Vernon, Monroe, Jr., and Ervin Nisley;
two infant sisters, Viola and Velda Nisley. Lorene, a Proverbs 31 woman, was
an amazing homemaker and faithful wife to her husband.  She loved
gardening, and most expressly, she developed and maintained amazing
flower beds. After moving to Florida, she developed her own flower and craft
business which took her to retirement. Lorene and Phil set up their home in
Florida in which they lived for 25 years. She developed many lifelong
friendships along the way both in Indiana and Florida. She moved back to her
native Goshen in 2015 and maintained her home, enjoying her immaculate
lawn, astounding flowerbeds, and delicious garden. Visitation will be from 5:
00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home,
1003 South Main Street Middlebury; the family and funeral home kindly
request that all attendees wear a face covering. The family will be holding
private funeral services; the services will be recorded and will be available to
the public by visiting and clicking the
video link on Lorene’s webpage. Services will be conducted by Pastor Phil
Jerome. Burial will be in Clinton Brick Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be
