Levi M. Yoder

Levi M. Yoder, 97, of Topeka died at 3:25 am on Thursday, February 15,
at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1920 in
LaGrange County to Menno J.S. and Emma E. (Christner) Yoder.  On
December 12, 1940 in LaGrange County he married Anna L. Schrock,
she died October 9, 1984; then on November 25, 1986 in Chouteau, OK
he married Edna Faye Yoder, she survives. Survivors in addition to his
wife are two sons, Ervin L. Yoder of LaGrange and Alton L. (Iva) Yoder  
of Goshen; five daughters, Mary Alice (Danny) Raber of Ligonier, Viola
Pauline (Elmer) Graber of Bloomfield, IA, Lydia Mae (Alvin) Miller of
Goshen, Sue Ellen (Mervin) Hershberger of Topeka, Ruth Ann (Jay)
Wingard of Shipshewana; 47 grandchildren, 213 great grandchildren, 68
great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents;
first wife; four brothers; three step brothers; two sisters; a step sister;
three grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Levi was a retired farmer
and had worked at a sawmill for many years, he was a member of the
Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Friday,
February 16, and all day Saturday, February 17, at the Lynn A. Miller
residence, 6765 West 300 South Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30
am on Sunday, February 18, at the same residence. Services will be
conducted by Bishop Ervin Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be
in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home,
Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.
