We only met once but know your daughter well. Just from knowing
her (Jann) we are assured what a great father, grandfather, and
person you were Lefty. May you rest in peace. Go Illini, right?

Jim and I are visiting family in Virginia, but Sam let us know about
Lefty’s death. We have such great memories of living next door to
your family. What great neighbors! Lefty was such a sweet gentle
person with a great sense of humor. We are so sad we have not
kept in touch with you folks. We didn’t even know about Dann’s
death. Millie, I will be calling you after we get home. Please know
how sad we feel for all of you.
