August 9, 1936 ~ October 7, 2016

Katie D. Nisley, 80, of Goshen, died at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 7 at her
residence. She was born on August 9, 1936 in Elkhart County, to David J.R.
and Mattie (Hershberger) Miller.  On November 7, 1957, in Goshen, she
married Olen R. Nisley, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband
are four daughters, Nettie (Clyde) Miller of Shipshewana, Vera (Maynard)
Troyer of Topeka, Laureen (Floyd) Miller of Milford, Wanda (Vernon)
Schlabach of Goshen; 33 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren; three
sisters, Mary (Rudy) Schmucker of Winchester, OH, Anna (Perry) Whetstone
of Shipshewana, Esther (Albert) Hochstetler of Topeka; two brothers, Lloyd
(Lora Mae) Miller of Middlebury, Alvin (Lydia) Miller of Goshen. She was
preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Miller, parents, two sisters, Wilma
and Polly Miller, two brothers, Levi and Daniel Miller. She was a homemaker
and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00
pm on Sunday, October 9 and all day Monday, October 10 at the family
residence, 16526 CR 34, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on
Tuesday, October 11 also at the family residence. Services will be
conducted by Bishop Simon Schmucker and the home ministers. Burial will
be in Nisley Cemetery, Goshen.

Olen, I'm sorry to hear of your wife's passing.  I think of you often and have
many great memories of our time at Rensberger school.  Our prayers are

I'm so sorry to hear of Katie passing away.  I have many fond memories of
her from when I was a little girl, playing over there with Wanda and Laureen.
