Jonas O. Miller
                                      September 24, 1934 -- June 24, 2013

Jonas O. Miller, 78, of Shipshewana, died at 12:48 am on Monday, June 24, at
his residence. He had been in declining health the past year and a half.  He
was born on September 24, 1934 in Goshen, to Joseph and Amanda
(Hershberger) Miller. On December 11, 1958 in Nappanee he married Mabel
Helmuth, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters,
Darlene (Vernon) Miller of Shipshewana, Mariam (Dennis) Miller of Tuscola,
IL; three sons, Galen (Rosanna) Miller of Millersburg, Marion (Ruby) Miller of
Lagrange, Floyd (Julia) Miller of Milford; 29 grandchildren, 17 great
grandchildren; step sister, Lydia Ann Eash of Sarasota, FL; three brothers,
Elmer (Ida) Miller of Shipshewana, Jacob (Dorothy) Miller of White Pigeon, MI,
Sam Miller of Sheridan, WY; two step brothers, Ervin (Lizzie) Nisley of
Topeka, Olen (Katie) Nisley of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his
parents, two grandsons, Joas Lynn Miller and Mathew Jon Miller, three
sisters, Annie Miller, Katie Lambright and Ida Miller, brother, Joseph Miller and
four infant brothers, step sister, Anna Mae Eash, two step brothers, Jonas
Nisley and Daniel Nisley. He was a farmer, carpenter doing construction and
a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on
Tuesday June 25, and all day Wednesday, June 26, at family's residence,
1080 N. 1100 W. Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on
Thursday June 27, also at family's residence. Services will be conducted by
Bishops Ernie Troyer and Daniel Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be
in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
