John William Yoder
                                       February 5, 1950 -- May 11, 2017

John William Yoder, 67, died of multiple myeloma at 11:08 am on Thursday
May 11, in Middlebury, following an illness of two and a half years. Mr. Yoder
was born in Goshen on February 5, 1950, to William and Alma (Kauffman)
Yoder. He graduated from Bethany Christian High School in 1968 and
attended Goshen College. A lifelong resident of Middlebury, he was a truck
driver, a MAC Tools distributor, owner of Ocelot Priority Logistics, and most
recently, an account manager for PAI/AIT. He married Karen Litwiller on
June 28, 1975, in Bristol. She survives along with three sons, Garth (Cathy
Holmes) Yoder of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Spencer (Lindsey) Yoder of Ladera
Ranch, Calif., and Preston Yoder of Ft. Wayne. Also surviving are his
siblings, Marion (Wanda) Yoder, Charles (Judy) Yoder, Alice (Dennis) Risser,
all of Goshen, and Nancy (Cloyce) Nofziger of Archbold, Ohio. He was
preceded in death by his brother Frederick in 1956, his mother in 1992, and
his father in 1998. A devoted husband and father, John loved to travel, play
cards, and socialize with relatives and close friends. He especially enjoyed
researching Yoder genealogy and assisted with the publication of a Yoder
newsletter for 25 years. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm
on Saturday, July 15 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St.,
Middlebury. Memorials may be made to United Cancer Services of Elkhart
