March 29, 1991 -- September 29, 2014

John Ray Chupp, one of God’s special children, 23, of Middlebury, died at 5:
35 pm on Monday, September 29, at his residence as the result of congestive
heart failure. He was born on March 29, 1991 in Lagrange, to Vernon R. and
Mattie (Bontrager) Chupp. Survivors in addition to his mother are seven
brothers, David (Wilma) Chupp and Rudy (Mary) Chupp both of
Shipshewana, Paul (Loretta) Chupp, Daryl (Nadine) Chupp, William (Laura)
Chupp, Aaron (Susan) Chupp and Benjamin Chupp all of Middlebury; four
sisters, Rebecca (Sam) Fisher of Shipshewana, Joann Miller and Sara (John)
Miller both of Middlebury, Esther (Harry) Yoder of Goshen; 14 nieces, 15
nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Rudy and
Fannie Chupp, Joe and Saloma Bontrager and a brother-in-law, Robert Miller.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and worked at the Crystal
Hope Workshop in Middlebury. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday
October 1, and all day Thursday, October 2, at the family residence, 14350 CR
20, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday October 3, at the
Calvin Miller residence, 14293 CR 20, Middlebury. Services will be conducted
by Bishop Calvin Miller and the home Ministers. Burial will be in East Barren
Cemetery, Shipshewana.
