John W. Knepp
                                   January 29, 1939 -- October 23, 2019

John W. Knepp, 80, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully at 8:35 am on
Wednesday, October 23, at Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart, after a
one-day stay. He was born on January 29, 1939 in London, OH, to Sam and
Martha (Borntrager) Knepp. On April 30, 1961 in Middlebury he married
Wilma Arlene Bontrager; she died November 8, 2001. On January 4, 2003 in
Elkhart County he married Fern (Eash) Yoder, she survives. Surviving in
addition to his wife are a daughter, Charlotte (Jim) Bontrager of  
Middlebury; three sons, Terry (Denise) Knepp of Millersburg, Renell
(Deann) Knepp of Goshen, Roger (Heidi) Knepp of Goshen; step daughter,
Dawn (Rick) Miller of Middlebury; two step sons, Ryan Yoder of Mesa, AZ,
Wade Yoder of Goshen; seven grandchildren; one grandson-in-law; one
great granddaughter; four step grandchildren; one step grandson-in-law;
one step great granddaughter; three sisters, Mary Ellen (Levi) Schrock of
Sturgis, MI, Louise (Lester) Schrock of Macon, MS, Fern (Edwin) Troyer of
Bristol; brother, Eli (Martha) Knepp of Wolcottville. He was preceded in
death by his first wife; parents; three brothers, David Wayne Knepp, Edwin
Knepp and an infant brother. John was a member of First United Methodist
Church, Middlebury and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with
his grandchildren. He had worked in engineering for the RV Industry for
most of his life; he and his wife, Fern, had wintered together for 10 years in
Sarasota Florida. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday,
October 27, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street
Middlebury. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:00 am
funeral service on Monday, October 28, at First United Methodist Church,
Middlebury.  Services will be conducted by Pastor Ron Russell. Burial will
be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to First United
Methodist Church
