Joas J. Chupp
                                   December 20, 1927 ~ June 15, 2014

Joas J. Chupp, 86, of Bristol, suffered from Alzheimer’s and had taken a fall at his
residence on Saturday June 14 and later passed away at 12:34 pm on Sunday, June
15, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1927 in Arthur, IL, to
Jacob J. and Mattie (Herschberger) Chupp. On November 20, 1951 in Arthur, IL he
married Esther Yutzy, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter,
Naomi (Robbie) Royal of Bristol; three sons, Larry J. (Dot) Chupp of Shipshewana,
Anthony Wayne (Coretta) Chupp of Middlebury, Danny Lee (Leah) Chupp of Jones,
MI; grandchildren, Tabitha, Rachel, Andrew, Jonathan, Ethan, Alaina, Kirsten, Daniel,
Laurel and Jana; four brothers, Eli (Anna) Chupp, of Shipshewana, Lewis (Mary)
Chupp,  Edward (Verna) Chupp, Omer (Lorene) Chupp all of Arthur, IL; three sisters,
Edna (Fred-deceased) Schrock, Clara (Edward) Schrock both of Arthur, IL; Wilma
(Eli) Yoder of Crab Orchard, KY.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two
sons, Mark and Eldon Chupp. Joas was a hardworking man having worked in
Mobile Home industry in the cabinet shop. He was a good provider and did well at
teaching his children the value of hard work. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:
00 -8:00 pm Friday, June 20, at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S. 1000 W.
Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Saturday June 21, also at
Townline Mennonite Church, Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Pastor’s
Mel Eash, Menno Mullet and Calvin Borntrager. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery,
Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to Townline Mennonite Church.

Naomi,  Just a note to say......Sorry I'm unable to stop by today.  I'm praying for
His peace to comfort your heart.  When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he
leaves a gift of memories in exchange!  Joas is not alone; and neither are you!!
