Joan K. Beachy

Joan K. Beachy, 66, of Goshen died at 6:00 pm, on Friday, January 5,
at her residence; her death was unexpected and was due to natural
causes. She was born on November 26, 1951, in Goshen to LaMar
and Edith Grace (Hartsaugh) Livengood. On April 30, 1972 in Goshen
she married Dewey Beachy; he died November 18, 2011. Surviving
are a son, Troy (Erica) Beachy of Bristol; grandchildren, Graecin and
Kierstin Beachy; two brothers, Charles Livengood of Indianapolis
and Leonard (Toni) Livengood of Wakarusa. She was preceded in
death by her parents and her husband. Joan enjoyed spending time
with her family and going out on family outings shopping and eating
out. She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse at Elkhart
General Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday
January 13, followed by a 1:00 pm memorial service all at
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury.
Memorials may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.

Joan and I graduated together. She was a good friend. And after
graduation we parted ways. She will be missed in my heart. Joan is
now with all her family that she loved with all her heart.

Joan has been the sweetest neighbor for the past 10 years she would
often bring my children cookies and other goodies we had many
laughs and great conversation. Joan you are truly going to be
missed. You go and enjoy your Mansion in Heaven. We love you!!
