Jerry J. Yoder
                                        May 5, 1952 -- August 10, 2015

Jerry J. Yoder, 63, of Shipshewana, died at 5:22 am on Monday, August 10, at
Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, from complications of Wegener’s
Vasculitis, an autoimmune disease.  He was born on May 5, 1952 in Washington, IA,
to Jonathan A. and Clara (Miller) Yoder. On September 9, 1971 in Topeka, he married
Rosemary Hochstetler, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are five sons,
Gary (Carolyn) Yoder of Shipshewana, Verlin (Rachel) Yoder of Bell, FL, John
(Marlene) Yoder, Jonathan (Leora) Yoder, James (Rosalie) Yoder all of Shipshewana;
daughter, Waneta (Floyd) Miller of Shipshewana; 30 grandchildren, two great
grandchildren; three brothers, Dan (Susie) Yoder of Topeka, Johnie (Betty) Yoder of
Bonduel, WI, Raymond (Marlene) Yoder of Millersburg; sister, Mary Fern (Paul)
Webster of Weld, ME. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister,
Roseanna Chupp. He worked in the trailer factory and owned a woodshop and was
a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on
Tuesday, August 11 and all day Wednesday, August 12 at the Jonathan Yoder
residence, 4055 West SR 120, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on
Thursday, August 13 also at the Jonathan Yoder residence. Services will be
conducted by Bishop Erwin C. Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in
Lehman Cemetery, Shipshewana. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is
handling the arrangements.
