Jean A. Gadson, 78, of Middlebury, died at 10:35 am, on Monday, November
20, at Courtyard Of Goshen after a one month stay. She was born on
February 16, 1939, in South Bend, to Duane Wheeler and Mary Jane Platz. On
October 24, 1954 in Elkhart County she married Donald E. Gadson; he died
January 20, 2010. Surviving are two daughters, Debra Kay (Terry) Beres of
Goshen, Sherri Lynn (Joseph) Knowles of Shipshewana; two sons, David
(Patricia) Gadson of Pharr, TX, Douglas (Pam) Gadson of Goshen, 12
grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Rodriguez, Kimberly (Rey) Olivarez, David
Justin Gadson, Bethany Gadson, Brandi Wallace, Seth Schultz, Heaven
Knowles, Coby Knowles, Haley Krahn, Ashton Krahn, Jackson Hoevener,
Nic Hoevener; 10 great-grandchildren, Lux, Mika, Camila, Ariell, Aiden, Collin,
Feanix, Jace, Taya and Lexi; two brothers, Michael (Carol) Wheeler and
Timothy (Gina) Wheeler both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, three brothers, Jack, Bob and Ralph Wheeler. Jean was a
member of Scott United Methodist Church.  She was a homemaker, waitress,
and secretary for Elkhart County Gravel. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00
am on Wednesday November 22, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Services
will be conducted by Pastor Christopher White. Burial will be in Scott
Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to Scott United Methodist
