James Lee Kiefer
                                 September 16, 1959 -- November 3, 2019

James Lee Kiefer, 60, of Bristol, passed away peacefully after a three year
battle with cancer at 4:55 pm on Sunday, November 3, at his residence.  He
was born on September 16, 1959 in South Bend to Robert W. and Margaret
A. (Bloss) Kiefer. On October 22, 1988 in Sturgis, MI he married Tammy
Goodwin, she survives. Survivors in addition to his spouse are three sons,
Travis Kiefer of Sturgis, MI, Dustin Goodwin of Bristol, Paul (Diana)
Goodwin of Morgantown, WV; two daughters, Heather (Corey) Watson of
Kendallville, Megan Hopkins of Brushy Prairie; 10 grandchildren, two great
grandchildren; brother, Ken (Cindy) Kiefer of Plymouth. He was preceded
in death by his father and an infant brother, Paul LeRoy Kiefer. Jim was a
welder for both Stoutco, Bristol for seven years and NRC, Middlebury
. He
enjoyed fishing and hunting and working on cars. He loved to grill out and
was especially known for his barbecue chicken. Visitation will be from 2:00
- 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 6, and from 9:00 am -
11:00 am Thursday, November 7, all at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003
South Main Street Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on
Thursday, November 7, also at the funeral home. Services will be
conducted by Pastor John Austin. Burial will be in Vistula Cemetery,
Bristol. Memorials may be given to the family to assist with expenses.

Sorry for your lost. I work with him at Stoutco. I will always remember him
as a kind man and a very good welder and worker. He will be very miss by
all of us.
