James "Jay" Warren Miller, 28, of Middlebury died at 11:03 am on Tuesday, June 21,
at the scene of a two vehicle accident on state road 120 between CR 37 and 39 in
Middlebury. He was born on December 24, 1987 in Bloomington. On June 4, 2016 in
Faith United Methodist Church he married Lisa Bibbee, she survives. Survivors in
addition to his wife are two sons, Elijah James Miller and Matthew Bibbee; five
daughters, Abriella Dawn Miller, Savannah Kathleen Freeman, Hailey Bibbee, Katana
Bibbee, Genesis Bibbee; father James W. (Darlene) Miller, Jr. of Solsberry; mother
Dawn (Mike Schrock) Howerton of Goshen; brother, Joshua Howerton of
Bloomington; sister, Tiffany (Tony) Fennell of Ackworth, GA, Heather Jean Miller of
Bloomington; step-sister, Heather Branigin of Solsberry; two grandmothers, Sue
Carol Miller of Spencer, Peggy (Jerry) Arthur of Spencer; grandfather, Dave (Mary)
Howerton of Ellettsville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James W.
Miller. Jay was working at Lippert Components at plant # 4 in Goshen as a machine
operator. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his children.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, June 24, at Miller-Stewart Funeral
Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. There will also be one hour of visitation
prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Saturday, June 25, also at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted by Pastor John Hogsett. Burial will be in Grace Lawn
Cemetery, Middlebury. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the funeral home
to assist the family with expenses
