Ida Mae Bontrager
                               October 28, 1936 -- July 9, 2015

Ida Mae Bontrager, 78, of Shipshewana, died at 7:36 am, on Thursday,
July 9, at her residence of natural causes. She was born on October 28,
1936, in LaGrange County, to Edward and Amelia (Miller) Slabach. On
April 26, 1956 in LaGrange County she married Perry Jay Bontrager; he
died April 29, 1988. Surviving are five daughters, Amelia "Sue" (Edwin)
Yoder and  LaVera Mae (Harley) Schlabach both of Middlebury, Marlene
Kay (DeWayne) Bontrager of Shipshewana, Anna Marie (Mervin) Yoder
of Goshen, Norma Jean (LeRoy) Lambright of Shipshewana; two sons,
Marvin Lee (Ida) Bontrager and Norman Ray (Kathryn) Bontrager both
of Shipshewana; 37 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren; two sisters,
Nettie Hochstetler and Katie Yoder both of Shipshewana; two brothers,
Chris (Ramah) Slabach and Edward Slabach, Jr. both of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary
Bontrager and brother, Ervin Slabach. She was a homemaker and a
member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm
on Friday July 10, and all day Saturday July 11, at the family's
residence, 9375 W. State Rd. 120, Shipshewana. Funeral services will
be at 9:30 am on Sunday July 12, at the Henry Schwartz residence,
6255 N. 900 W., Shipshewana.  Services will be conducted by Bishop
Ervin Dean Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Lehman
Cemetery, Shipshewana.
