September 18, 1935 -- February 24, 2019

Ida J. Miller, 83, of LaGrange, died at 4:35 pm, on Sunday, February 24, at
Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange. She was born on September 18, 1935, in
Nappanee, to Joseph and Ida (Miller) Slabaugh. On December 15, 1955 she
married Elmer J. Miller; he died September 12, 2013. Surviving are two
daughters, Nora (Samuel) Brandenberger of Shipshewana, Etta Fern
(Amos) Glick of LaGrange; two sons, Harlan (Ruby) Miller, Vernon (Luanne)
Miller both of Shipshewana; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, one
great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Edna (John) Swartz of Nappanee,
Sylvia Miller of Dunnegan, MO; three brothers, Tobe (Elizabeth) Slabaugh,
Chris (Alma) Slabaugh both of Nappanee, Lester (Ann) Slabaugh of FL. She
was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Wayne and
Kenneth Miller; grandson, Jason Brandenberger; sister, Wilma Eash. She
was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation
will be after 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 26 and all day Wednesday,
February 27 at the Ray Troyer residence, 0600 N. 700 W., LaGrange. Funeral
services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, February 28 also at the Ray Troyer
residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Gerald Troyer and the
home ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
