Harvey J. Miller
                                           March 14, 1936 -- October 13, 2013

Harvey J. Miller, 77, of Topeka, died at 11:40 pm on Sunday, October 13, at his
residence. He had battled cancer since January, 2013. He was born on March 14,
1936 in Chouteau, OK, to Jacob S.S. and Wilma (Troyer) Miller. On February 21,
1957 in Topeka he married Susie D. Miller, she survives. Survivors in addition to
his wife are six sons, Glen (Marlene) Miller of Shipshewana, Ernest (Linda) Miller of
Ligonier, Harry Wayne (Marlene) Miller of Shipshewana, Harvey Jr. (Debbie) Miller
of Syracuse, Perry (Anna Marie) Miller of Shipshewana, David (Sylvia) Miller of
Topeka; ten daughters, Ruth Ann (Dennis) Miller of Ligonier, Sara (Vernon) Nisley
of Topeka, Ida (Fred) Otto of Princeton, MO, Lorene (Willard) Schrock of Ligonier,
Mary (Marlin) Knepp of Shipshewana, Barbara (Raymond) Eash of Wolcottville,
Wilma (Kenneth) Kauffman of Ligonier, Ada (Earl) Slabach and Dorothy (LaVerne)
Whetstone both of Topeka, Vera (Devon) Miller of Wawaka; 87 grandchildren, 87
great grandchildren; two brothers, Freddie (Mary Ellen) Miller of Millersburg,
Raymond (Lavina) Miller of Wolcottville; three sisters, Edna Fern Troyer of Marion,
MI, Ida (Ben) Miller of Goshen, Wilma (Gerald) Yoder of Topeka. He was preceded in
death by his parents, two sisters, Clara and Fannie Miller, a brother, Toby Miller,
three brothers-in-law, Johnathan Miller, Amzie Troyer and Samuel Miller. He was a
minister and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 3:00
pm, Monday October 14, and all day Tuesday, October 15, at the family residence,
2800 W. 550 S., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday October
16, at the Alvin Bontrager residence, 2845 W. 550 S. Topeka. Services will be
conducted by Bishop Christy Mast and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller
Cemetery, LaGrange.
