April 13, 1960 -- March 28, 2018

Gloria M. Martin, 57, of Middlebury, died at 7:55 am, on Wednesday, March 28,
at her residence after a battle with cancer. She was born on April 13, 1960, in
Elkhart, to Amos K. and Lydia (Martin) Martin. Surviving are four sisters,
Joann (Elam) Rutt of Ephrata, PA, Elsie (Robert) Martin of Snover, MI, Mary
(Elvin) Shaum of Leetonia, OH, Lydia Zimmerman of Middlebury; two
brothers, Greg (Irene) Martin of Columbiana, OH, Alvin (Naomi) Martin of
Decker, MI; sister-in-law, Nila Martin of Nappanee; brother-in-law, Carl Martin
of Goshen;  48 nieces and nephews. She had lived the past 19 years with her
sister Lydia and had adopted her children as her family which includes, Heidi
(Joel) Stoffel of Middlebury, Ryan (Serra) Zimmerman of Elkhart, Jamie (Josh)
Van Daele of Middlebury, Scott (Robin) Zimmerman of Middlebury and 12
adopted grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two
brothers, Lloyd and Amos Martin, sister, Amanda Martin, one niece and two
nephews. Gloria was a member of Griner Mennonite Church and had worked
for Pioneer Transport as a truck driver until being diagnosed with cancer.
She enjoyed woodworking and loved her adopted grandchildren. Visitation
will be from 1:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday April 1, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home,
1003 South Main Street Middlebury.  There will be visitation from 9:00 - 11:00
am Monday April 2, followed by an 11:00 am funeral service at Griner
Mennonite Church, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Robert
Riegsecker. Burial will be at 2:00 pm in Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite
Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Rudy Chapman family for
medical expenses

You have my thoughts and prayers at this time of loss.  Gloria listened to her
own drum beat and we all loved her dearly.  I am so glad that she was at
peace with God.  Now we are all jealous of her, dancing around in heaven.  
"Come on you guys, hurry up here." I can just hear her say to all of us.
