Gerald "Jerry" Ingles
August 8, 1930 -- November 20, 2014
Gerald “Jerry” Ingles, 84, of Middlebury, passed away at 11:22 pm
on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his home in Middlebury. He
was born on August 8, 1930 in Waterloo, OH, to Charles and Maggie
(Watson) Ingles. He was married to the love of his life, Shirline
Sparks, on August 8, 1975 in Marion, OH. She survives along with
two daughters, Michelle (Rick) Barrow of Columbus, OH, Crystal
(Scott) Friskney of Goshen; three granddaughters, Jessica,
McKayla and Breanne Friskney. Also surviving are the best of
friends, Bob and Pam Reedy. He was preceded in death by his
parents, his older brother and younger sister. He was a member of
Faith Baptist Church in Middlebury. He worked for Gunite
Corporation until in 1993 and retired from Penske Truck Leasing in
2012. He served honorably in the U.S. Army as a tank instructor
during the Korean War. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm
followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm on Monday November
24, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street
Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Chaplain Greg Henry.
Military honors will be performed by the American Legion Post 210.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to AseraCare Hospice
