Gene A. Blough
                                  April 22, 1937 -- August 16, 2018

Gene A. Blough, 81, of Goshen, died at 6:55 pm on Thursday, August
16, at The Healthcare Center at Waterford Crossing. He was born on
April 22, 1937 in Goshen to George and Lois (Yoder) Blough. On
January 20, 1957 in Clinton Brick Mennonite Church he married Mary
Ellen Miller, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a
daughter, Patrece "Patty" (Scott) Yates of Goshen; four
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bette
Blough of Goshen; three sisters, Donna (Gaylord) Schrock of
California, Sara Riggs of Kentucky, Doris Moore of Middlebury; two
brothers, Gary (Robin) Miller of Tennessee, Mike (Sue) Miller of
Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother,
Violet (Miller) Blough; son, Mark Douglas Blough in 1995; and a sister,
Juanita Morningstar. Gene was a life long banker working at Salem
Bank, Farmers State Bank, KeyBank and First State Bank. He enjoyed
discussing old cars and trains and was a Harley Davison enthusiast
riding his motorcycle into his late 70s. He enjoyed carpentry work and
had remodeled several houses. He also enjoyed playing guitar and
gospel music and had attended St. Marks United Methodist Church in
Goshen. He was a member of Clinton Frame Church. Visitation will be
from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, August 24, at Clinton
Frame Church, 63846 CR 35 Goshen. There will also be visitation from
9:00 to 9:45 am prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Saturday,  
August 25, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastors
Matt Yoder and Linda Miller. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery,
Millersburg. Memorials may be given to Clinton Frame Church or
Salvation Army.  Online condolences may be offered at

So sorry to here of the passing of Gene. As nice a man as I
have ever known. First met Gene when he was our Banker
at Farmers State Bank in Topeka when I was a kid. And he
was the first person to ever loan me money and I think it
was around 47 years ago. And when I have ran into him in
the past few years he still knew who I was!!
