Freeman S. Miller

Freeman S. Miller, 83, of Topeka, died at 4:12 am on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at
Parkview LaGrange Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1930 in Nappanee to Simon A.
and Lizzie (Borkholder) Miller. On February 15, 1951 in Topeka he married Edna Mae
Borntrager, she died August 2, 2011, then on November 22, 2012 in Topeka he
married Mary (Bontrager) Miller, she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are
two sons, Jerry (Elizabeth) Miller of LaGrange and Vernon (Marietta) Miller of
Topeka; two daughters, Clara Mae (Ernest) Bontrager of Topeka and Pollyanna
(Amos) Miller of Centreville, MI; a step-son, LaWayne (Arlene) Miller of
Shipshewana; five step-daughters, Sharon (Floyd) Lambright, Carolyn (Richard)
Lambright, LaVerda Miller all of Topeka, Marlene (Freeman) Slabach, Glenda (Galen)
Lambright both of Goshen; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 44 step
grandchildren, 62 step great grandchildren; sister, Pollyanna (Dan) Bowman of
Middlebury; two sister-in-laws, Barbara (Andy) Miller of Middlebury and Esther
Galloway of Ligonier; three brothers, John Henry Miller of Middlebury, Ervin
(Margaret) Miller of Goshen, Amos (Janet) Miller of Middlebury. He was preceded in
death by his first wife, parents, brother, Andy Miller, step son-in-law, Merle Miller,
step-daughter, Karen Miller, step great grandchild. He was a carpenter, farmer and
a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Sunday,
May 25, and all day Monday, May 26, at Vernon Miller residence, 9660 West 650
South Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, May 27, at the same
residence. Services will be conducted by Bishops John Beachey and Samuel Mast
Jr. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts/prayers are with the family,
especially to grandson Freeman, whom I used to work with at the Bluegate.
