Freeman O. Hostetler
                                       January 8, 1937 -- May 16, 2019

Freeman O. Hostetler, 82, of Topeka, died at 8:29 pm on Thursday, May 16 at
Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville. He was born on January 8, 1937 in
LaGrange County, to Owen D. and Elizabeth (Miller) Hostetler. On June 9,
1960, in LaGrange County, he married Darla Mae Miller, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are six sons, Mervin Dean (Iva) Hostetler of
Goshen, Maynard (Judy) Hostetler of Topeka, Merle Eugene (Marlene)
Hostetler of Shipshewana, Freeman Jr. (Sara) Hostetler of Topeka, Steven
Ray (Irma) Hostetler of LaGrange, Leon Jay (Leona) Hostetler of Topeka;
eight daughters, Sue Ann (Wayne) Fry of Ligonier, Norma Jean (Wilbur)
Bontrager of Dalton, WI, Mary Ruth (Ferman) Lambright, Inez (Dean) Miller,
Ella Mae (Joe) Frey all of Topeka, Loretta (Dan) Byler, Lorene (Sam) Wingard
both of Goshen, Eva Fern (Joe) Yoder of Topeka; 75 grandchildren, 66
great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Hostetler of Kenton, OH, Owen Jr.
(Esther) Hostetler of Topeka; two sisters, Orpha Miller, Alice (Harley) Fry both
of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Katie Glick,
Nettie Lambright, LeAnna Bontrager, and Mary Bontrager; brother, Orva
Hostetler; two grandsons, one great-grandson. He was a farmer and a
member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on
Saturday, May 18 and all day Sunday, May 19 at the family residence, 5485 W.
600 S., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, May 20 at the
Vernon Yoder residence, 5380 W. 600 S., Topeka. Services will be conducted
by Bishop Jonathon L. Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in
Miller Cemetery, LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is
assisting the family with arrangements.
