Fannie Bontrager
                                   January 2, 1932 -- August 1, 2018

Fannie Bontrager, 86, of Middlebury, died at 11:31 pm, on Wednesday,
August 1, at Miller’s Merry Manor, LaGrange, with her sons by her side.
She was born on January 2, 1932, in Chouteau, OK, to Tobe and Lizzie
(Miller) Troyer. On January 31, 1953 in Elkhart County, she married Harry
Bontrager, he died October 18, 1984. Surviving are two sons, Jim
(Charlotte) Bontrager and Steven (Shelley) Bontrager both of Middlebury;
three grandchildren Aaron (Ellie) Bontrager, Jordan Bontrager, Myra
Bontrager; five sisters, Katie Miller of Goshen, Edna Miller of Middlebury,
Iva Miller of Shipshewana, Verna Miller and Dorothy (Gene) Yoder both of
Topeka; brother, Toby (Ann) Troyer of Topeka. She was preceded in
death by her husband; parents; four sisters, Mary Bontrager, Lydia Drury,
Edith Schwartz, and Lorene Burkholder; two brothers, Bill Troyer and
Mose Troyer. She was a member of First Mennonite Church of Middlebury
and enjoyed Bible reading, visiting people, feeding birds and working on
puzzles. She was a homemaker and retired after 12 years from Northridge
High School as a custodian. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 6:00 pm on
Sunday, August 5 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury and for one
hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Monday, August 6 at First
Mennonite Church, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Sam
Troyer. Burial will be in Ivans Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be
given to First Mennonite Church.
