August 18, 1944 -- March 18, 2018

Eugene "Gino" Ray Hershberger, 73, of Topeka, died at 6:15 am on Sunday,
March 18, at his residence after battling cancer since July 2017. He was born
on August 18, 1944 in Goshen to Eli M. and Louisa (Riegsecker)
Hershberger.  On October 19, 2001 in Ligonier he married Judy Antonides;
she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a son, Benjamin Eugene
(Stephanie) Hershberger of Bristol; two step sons, Jerid Becker of Ligonier,
Derid Becker of Albion; grandchildren, Marley Ann Becker, Callandra Jane
Hershberger and Beckett Eugene Hershberger; four sisters, Velda Lechlitner
of Goshen, Verda (Nelson) Yoder and Ruth (Gary) Schrock both of
Middlebury, Carol (Jeff) Detweiler of Goshen; two brothers, Elmer (Shirley)
Hershberger of Dry Run, PA, Sam (Emma) Hershberger of Middlebury. He
was preceded in death by his parents. Gino had worked at area factories, in
steel building construction, had worked in maintenance for Freudenberg in
Ligonier for 11 years and provided Amish taxi service for the past 17 years.
He was a three year Army Veteran serving in Korea during the Vietnam War.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms and
was an avid pool player. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday
March 22, followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service at Miller-Stewart Funeral
Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Military honors by American
Legion Post 210 will follow the service. Services will be conducted by Pastor
Tim Fisher. Memorials may be given to Miller-Stewart Funeral Home to assist
with expenses.
