March 22, 1936 -- December 20, 2015

Esther P. Yoder, 79, of Shipshewana, died at 5:37 am on Sunday, December
20 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She had been in declining health since
May of 2015. She was born on March 22, 1936, in Topeka, to Perry B. and
Anna (Schrock) Miller. On February 20, 1958 in Topeka she married William
Henry Yoder, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are a
daughter, Mary Rose Yoder of Shipshewana; four sons, Allen (Evelyn)
Yoder and Norman (Annie) Yoder both of Shipshewana, Orley (Dianna)
Yoder of Goshen, Leon (SuEllen) Yoder of Middlebury; 13 grandchildren, 11
great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vera Miller of Sarasota, FL;
brother-in-law, Johnny Helmuth of Millersburg. She was preceded in death
by her parents, two brothers, Orla P. Miller and infant Raymond Miller, three
sisters and two brothers-in-law, Martha (Don) Tyson, Edna (Mahlon)
Hershberger, and Susie Helmuth. She was a homemaker and a member of
the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Monday,
December 21 and all day Tuesday, December 22 at the family residence,
1295 N 850 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on
Wednesday, December 23 at the Harry Stutzman Jr. residence, 1360 N 850
West, Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Homer
Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery,
