Ervin D. Hostetler
Ervin D. Hostetler, 88, of Topeka, died at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 3 at his
residence. He was born on February 13, 1929, in Elkhart County, to David V.
and Mary Ann (Yoder) Hostetler. On April 23, 1953, in Honeyville, he married
Lydia Raber, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are two
daughters, Joan (Allen) Wengerd of Blair, WI, Mary Etta (Paul) Nisley of
Topeka; son, Marvin (Lena) Hostetler of LaGrange; 24 grandchildren, 76
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David
Allen Hostetler; two brothers and three sisters. He worked at DA Hochstetler
and Sons for 24 years as a machinist and was a member of the Old Order
Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Monday, June 5 and all day
Tuesday, June 6 at the family residence, 3185 West 350 South, Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, June 7, also at the family
residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ervin Bontrager, Jr. and the
home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange. Online
